Hi Doug,

Thank you for that, would you have any contact details or be able to P.M. me that information. If not I will have a look on the net and see if that throws up anything. Thanks though....it would be great if such records are out there.

Chris.
Interested in hearing from anyone who might have a NEALE medal or information about NEALE medals etc.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Just google Scotland Yard, I am sure someone will point you in the right direction. I was in Cheshire Police, and as far as I know, they all have their archives and records for all personnel, even specials!!

Cheers Doug.

I have wanted to research a few Police medals I have but another collector who was an Ex RAF-MP. and Policeman said due to the Act, Police would not release any such details. I will give it a go though as it could open up a few doors regarding further research.

Cheers again.

Henk,

The link between Paterson and Ewart is fascinating. How great that the letter has survived.

There is also a link of course between Paterson and another 'Skins' group that you have shown on this thread - Rimington.

See below. From the 'Western Gazette' Saturday 22nd December 1928.

Yes, they won't provide any personal details, but will confirm service and anything non traceable or personal.

Henk,

Your challenge thrown down again - not the first time in the past thirty years!

Paterson's obituary below ('Gloucestershire Echo' 12th December 1950), also a snippet from the 'Dundee Courier' some fifty years earlier (22nd December 1900).

Best,

Justin
