Hi Everybody

In total there were 20 recipients of a DTD/ABO that also received a Union Medal 1910. This select group included Generals Jan Smuts, Louis Botha and Koos de la Rey.

Dear Henk

There are amazing combinations with DTD's because many of these men went on to prominent position in the country.

Here is one where the man became the Honorary Colonel of a South Africa unit later in life.

After the Boer feast, here's an unusual British grouping that's coming up at Rosebery's on 18th December. I don't remember having seen a QSA lead a Royal Household group before. Here's the description.

A group of ten medals to A.T.Pryor RFA, including Queens South Africa with Paardeberg and Kimberly bars, Long service, Jubilee 1897, Edward VII Coronation, George V Coronation, Royal Victoria ,1908 French medal, a Greek silver cross, D.Carlos I Royal order Household 1889, and an Iranian Order of the Lion and Sun, together with an O.B.E. and ephemera.
