This last appeared 1 yr 9 months ago at DNW (June 2013) as was the subject of a post on this thread at that time.
I am convinced the recipient (Serjt. A. J. Laws. Cape Infty.) is not entitled to the Wepener clasp. The Spink estimate is £260. They make no mention of the clasp verification.
Looking back, the QSA sold at DNW for a hammer price of £310.

It would certainly be interesting to see the rivets on this particular medal.

We just need to tilt the camera 90 degrees

It would also be good to see the naming on medals but I guess that is too time-consuming to do and also difficult to present (in the say the BB&M does).

Looking at the photograph, I would suggest that the rivets between the clasps could well actually be correct, but, what matters here, is simply whether or not the medal itself was actually issued with them, if so and if in error, it would certainly be a conversation piece.

On the Cape Infantry roll he is not entitled to any clasps and there is no indication he served with another unit to earn the Wepener clasp.

I think this is bogus and I suspect that a genuine CC,We combination has been added.
