It is not often that we see a copy Wepener clasp. This example is from the next Noble Numismatics auction

You would imagine there was a surfeit of CC clasps after the Boer War but here is a copy Cape Colony, identified as such by Spink, from their next auction.



The letter spacing is incorrect and the lugs are both very thin and too long, leading to a larger than normal space between clasps.

A copy Belmont clasp identified as such in the next Noonan's sale.

Correct clasp at the bottom.

Noble Numismatics describe the lower clasp as 'possibly a copy' but there is little doubt here as the top and correct clasp shows.
