Hello There,

The papers to Tom Voules and Francis White have survived and are in Cape Town. I have copies of Voules's to hand but white's will have to wait until I am next there.

White attested in January 1898 and Voules in November 1897.

By the way, I recently researched Tom Arthur Voules and he was born in Toronto Canada in 1875. He had previous service in the Derbyshire Regiment and also in the Kimberley Rifles. Discharged on the 31/12/1909.

Anthony,

From my Kimberley research, I think the numbers are:

CP, District 2, 397
CP, District 1, 112

Frank's estimate was almost spot on.

Kind regards
David

Mike,

I have copies of what ever there is available for E,McIntosh, it appears that he attested in November 1895.

Harry Bissett's papers have also survived and I will organise next time I am in the Archives.

Anthony,

Douglas Longmate's papers have also survived, I will copy them for you when next in Cape Town. He attested in March 1902 and he also had the Regimental number 1301 which shows that he re attested at some point.
