Hope I have described it correctly, it is a card type record, 1 page only, top part has name, corps, reg no.date of discharge, cause of discharge printed, underneath it only has his name and corps completed, then (printed): date of application (a)badge (b) medal, address of applicant and action taken, the only part completed is against action taken which says "list 7/332.

The card reference ( bottom left of card) is : W5658-8733 60,000 8/16 HWV(P915) G16/1202
9189-1123 8 200,000 11/16

Cannot see anything else, am I looking in the right place?
regards
Jack

Might be , however there is so little information on it and it, is there anything else I can try to find his Boer war service details?, a trip to kew is not ruled out. I have a full copy of his WW1 service details, this was on a separate line though.
Thanks for taking the interest Frank

Hello Jack,
The Victorian service papers in WO97 at the National Archives Kew are where you would expect this mans papers to be if they had survived, so as I have already said, if you have done a search on line for them, then because his special reserve papers have survived in WO364 and the original papers are not with them, I would think that they no longer exist today.
