I almost bought his brother Frank's (Chambers) medal from the family a few years ago - this was to the Mafeking T.G. but what deterred me from my course was the fact that Frank was also issued with a QSA DoM with the Protectorate Regiment and this was nowhere to be found.

Hindsight being an exact science I should have bought it - it was going for the princely sum of R14 000 - work that out in GBP and compare to what Liverpool Medals are asking.
