Reverse: "Presented / to / Bro. W.M. Sutherland / BY / Court 6507 A.O.F. / ON HIS RETURN FROM / BOER WAR / South Africa / Jan. 1901".

In 1900, Court “Brighton”, No 6507 of the AOF was based in South London, Ontario, Canada. In that year H. Sutherland, presumably a relative of Bro. W.M. Sutherland, was the Court Secretary. The Court had some 178 members, and met at the Foresters’ Hall, Craig Street on alternate Tuesdays.
