Freshwater | Arthur Freshwater | | Captain and QM | He died of enteric at Kroonstad February 28th, 1902. He was born August 1855, served in the ranks for nearly fifteen years, was at the War Office for over five years, and gained his commission in the Royal Army Medical Corps July 1894. He served in the Bechuanaland Expedition 1884-85. For his services in South Africa, Captain Freshwater was mentioned by Field Marshal Earl Roberts in his despatch of March 1st, 1902, and was granted the honorary rank of Captain.
