Kemble | Charles Morris | | Captain | He died of enteric at Bloemfontein March 29th, 1900. He was the son of C A Kemble, was born June 1870, and educated at Haileybury. He entered the Yorkshire Regiment from the Glamorgan Artillery, was promoted Lieutenant December 1893, and transferred to the Army Service Corps, April 1894, being made Captain September 1898. Captain Kemble married September 1896, Freda, daughter of Captain Webber, 45th Regiment. He served in the Nile Expedition of 1898, and was present at the battle of Khartoum, being awarded the Medal and the Egyptian medal with clasp. Captain Kemble embarked for South Africa October 1899.
