It was the first Sunday of the month today, so my monthly trip to the Wakefield medal fair was here again.
I got a pleasant surprise when a forum member Doug introduced himself and we had a good chat over a cuppa and a bacon sandwich, it was really nice to meet you Doug.
I introduced him to another forum member Davidh who has a table there every month, so it was a mini forum meeting
Doug had seen a few things that he liked the look of and if he purchased I hope he will post on the forum.
I as always managed to spend some pounds  I had my eye on a few nice medals and had to make a decision on what to spend the hard earned cash on.
I decided on a nice Manchester's QSA purchased from Davidh (thanks David) and a QSA that I think David.B. looked at when he visited Wakefield in October.
A single RoL clasp QSA to the Colonial Scouts which I managed to broker a reasonable deal, I will post a write up of the two medals later in the week when I have a little more time.
So all spent up again for another month at least I will have two months to save up because the fair has a winter break in January

Cheers
Paul :)

Paul

As usual, the post(s) of your finds is (are) something to look forward to. Also Doug's .....

Regards
Brett

PS A pic of Davidh's table would be a welcome sight to those of us who never see such things 'in the flesh', so to speak. It will remind me of what I am missing by living in the Colonies.

Paul,
A careful look at WO126/30 should, I hope, yield some fruit for your Colonial Scout, which I like very much, I was brought up with tales of Theodore Menne and Frank Steinaecker from an early age, so I've always liked them, infact, I actually bought two more Colonial Scouts quite recently to add to those I already had.
Kind regards Frank
