Frank,

Thank you for your comments.
I read a little about the Colonial Scout last night and how they evolved into other units.
I also read about Frank Steinaecker's rise through the ranks, he must of been a very well respected gentleman.

Paul :)

A careful look at WO126/30 should, I hope, yield some fruit for your Colonial Scout, which I like very much, I was brought up with tales of Theodore Menne and Frank Steinaecker from an early age, so I've always liked them, infact, I actually bought two more Colonial Scouts quite recently to add to those I already had.
Kind regards Frank

Hi Brett,

Thank you.
You will see some of Davidh's items in the first pic in the link below, this was taken by DavidB when he was at Wakefield.

As usual, the post(s) of your finds is (are) something to look forward to. Also Doug's .....

Regards
Brett

PS A pic of Davidh's table would be a welcome sight to those of us who never see such things 'in the flesh', so to speak. It will remind me of what I am missing by living in the Colonies.

Hello Paul,
Well there are worse ways of spending your money these days, you only have to look at the dross people buy and then often show on the dark side!

Sorry for the late reply, busy as usual, or at least I think I am! Yes, great to meet you too and thanks to your wife who didn't mind me asking her if she went there often :)

I think I was on much better form on this visit and wondered what I did wrong last time. Most dealers felt it was quiet and not much money was flowing, so good for us collectors.

I did get two groups which I will post at the weekend. I have also just posted on another thread that I got an offer of a Lancs Fusiliers Sudan pair with a QSA KiA Spion Kop, Xmas or what! just had to have that!

So I do have a couple to move on and not sure if we can do that for fellow members on the site, if someone can advise please, obviously at no profit and only if the price is right for you!

Doug.
