Gilt on silver with blue enamel. Fitted with loop and ring suspender.

A pro Boer medal issued in honour of President Kruger. The medallion has similar wording to the “Begeer medal” in honour of President Steyn.

A German satirical medal.

Adolphe Rivet was born in Varetz in Corrèze in France in 1855. He was a student of the well-known French sculptors Jules Cavelier, Hubert Ponscarme and Oscar Roty at the École des Beaux-Arts de Paris. He died in the south of Paris in 1925.

A Belgian satirical medal.

Paul Fisch was a Belgian medallist noted for portrait medals. He was the son of Antoine Fisch, who founded one of the most popular medallist companies in Belgium. Paul Fisch himself studied at the Royal Academy of Fine Arts. After his father died, he and his brother continued with their father’s company. In 1898 he started his own company which was continued by his widow after his death during the Great War.
