Issued on the occasion of President Kruger’s visit to Cologne where he heard that the Kaiser would not receive him. The satire expressed on this medallion was directed at the German Government who refused to officially recognise President Kruger and the Kaiser (Wilhelm II) also declined to meet with Kruger.
