QSA (3) CC, TVL, Witte (9086 Sjt: D. 8. Mac Kay Brabant’s Horse)

The Number 8 erroneously used for letter S when naming was done.

South Africa 1901 clasp issued 27 September 1905.

George Augustus Gross, Department Manager and Salesman, born 1879 at Newcastle NSW; Enl.19Jun1900 at Queenstown, South Africa in A Sqn 1st Brabants Horse; served in ops against the Boers near Reitzburg and on the Basuto Border to Bethlehem and across the Vaal Aug1900 and to South West Cape Colony; Disch.09Feb1901 at Cape Town; Died 1946.

Noble Numismatics are incorrect about the KSA.
