An example that appeared on eBay today. It is identified by the seller as such.

Another renamed QSA from today's eBay postings. QSA (1) RoL. The seller identifies the naming issue with the question 'NAMED IN AN UNUSUAL STYLE, PRIVATELY?' I would think so!



Bailey's original medal was issued with 4 clasps; Tr, TH, RoL and LN. He also served 1st Scottish Horse.

Certainly not official naming!

It is a useful picture as it shows how the rim has been damaged and thinned during the renaming process.

Just a mere glance is more than enough to tell me that this is one not to buy, if it were actually part of a larger group and had been worn by the recipient, then I would look upon it in a different light, but, as is, no!
