Well done Ryan (and everyone else). I was after one of the ABOs for Kraaipan to pair with a QSA casualty for that action.

Next time!

Most importantly for me I got the group to the Balloon Section, which I had been after for years, and at a price that makes me think that not many from the UK bid :P

Also a QSA Defence of Mafeking to the Protectorate Regiment that has long been something I have wanted.

And an ABO to someone who was at Kraaipan the first engagement of the war.

Very happy!

Ryan

Sorry Frank, but that seems to be the going rate for a rare medal. This is the first I've recorded for sale in 2015. Two I recorded in 2014 were offered (sold?) for GBP895 and GBP1050.

If you have one or two stashed you could make a pretty penny ;)

I have been after this clasp combination for years! Didn't see the two offered in 2014. Lot 122 has the KSA as well; previous example seen did not. The pair will fit in well.

IL.
