I've made a short list of their names (the Nurses) from the Natal Volunteer Record and will start phoning descendants of the more unusual surnames soon. Hopefully there is a QSA or two still out there that hasn't yet been snaffled by one of us!!

If I find one it can become Brett's "nurse" ;)

Brian,

According to Ruth they will arrive bright and early. I will call you as soon as the courier arrives.

Cheers

Good news indeed. I received mine today and have been "gloating" over them (some would mistake it for drool) all afternoon.

The 1906 I bought wasn't "tampered" with as far as I can see but, as is always the case with them, is lightly impressed. If anything is amiss it might be put down to slight rubbing but it's consistent throughout the rim

The QSA's I got are all stunning and I'm itching to get their write ups going.

The CAFLSM to Tatham is a beauty now to find the 1879 Zulu and the QSA to the Carbineers - some serious haggling with family members is envisaged!

Hi Brett......

In Sheila Dray's book I have a K. S. MacQueen who volunteered in SA for service.....

I do not know if she was from Natal.....

I believe Brett would like a nurse who served in Natal during the war, not nessesary came from Natal, suspect that would be a bonus.
