Hi Henk
Thank you for sharing that information. I look forward to passing it on to my wife! Not without reason, she often thinks I am misguided, but is too polite to say so. In this instance, she may actually believe that I am a shrewd judge of value.
I was wondering who else might have a Natal Volunteer Medical Corps QSA in their collection. I thought you were the most likely candidate. Now I will have to think again.
Regards
Brett

Hi Brett

I have the QSA/1906 pair to Captain/Major RA Buntine who was recommended for the VC. If memory serves he was with the N.V. Medical Corps.

I'll get around to doing the write-up one of these days!

I should have remembered that, Rory. I will look forward to reading the write-up.

Hello Rory,
That is exactly the joy of collecting, it really does not have to be expensive, there are so many jewels out there, even today and they can, on occasion, be had for very little.
Congratulations on your saleroom wins!
Regards Frank

Not sure of what I had won or not I entered the murky waters of ebay on Saturday night and, on a whim, picked up a Rifle Brigade QSA with 3 clasps for 112 GBP.

Cheap as chips I think the saying goes?

Regards

Roryy

R25,500 is actually over £1,240! :woohoo:
