Brian and I visited Pietermaritzburg a couple of weeks ago to view the McKenzie relics. Very impressive! McKenzie was the Colony of Natal's most important soldier, although now somewhat discredited by the new order in this country.

I am amazed that the medal bar is being offered separately on eBay. It makes no sense to separate it from the KCMG/CMG insignia. (By the way, the CB is missing.)

The MC group shown in the Kensington Bond advertisement belonged to McKenzie's son and I can understand that being offered separately.
