Not exactly a bargain, but, from memory, the medal to William Idebski, sold for £480, almost nineteen years ago now and that price excludes the commission due on the day in question.

That's a very nice group of four, Jim, especially with the CAF LS Medal.

The same seller of the DoM QSA to the BSAP is also punting this single QSA (1) DoK to Pte Berryman of the KTG for £725.

He served in No II Section, B2 Company, No 3 Redoubt.

An interesting defender's medal I picked up recently, named to Pte 916 AJ Herridge Kimberley VR, clasp CC.

Herridge was a member of the Kimberley Town Guard, his name is crossed off that roll. He also served with the Kimberley VR until the end of the war.

His medal was issued from the KImberley VR roll where his entitlement to DoK is clearly shown.

How did he end up with a CC clasp? The clasp rivets look good, but the claw attaching the suspender and disc is flattened front and back, but then high points on the disc front and back are rubbed - caused by the same action or not?

As anyone seen other defender QSAs without the Defence clasp?
