The QSA is ex Sotherby November 1977 and Spink March 1979. Both sub £400 but it was a long time ago! Neither of his other medals have been seen.

QSA (1) Defence of Mafeking, clasp officially re-impressed to 395 Tpr C. Wallis Protect Regt F.F. light scratching in fields, small edge knock, very fine. With copied roll confirming Clarence Wallis awarded this single clasp with B Sqn.

The price tag of £2,000 failed to attract any bidders for the QSA to Corporal E Perrin when the auction closed on eBay last night.

Yes David, I followed it down to the wire. Perhaps the seller should have been a little more brave, and had a lower starting bid?
Might have been tempted myself!

The medal to Corporal Perrin was re-advertised on eBay with a reduced starting price of £1,800. It sold last night for £1,976.
