I've seen that one. The recipient was wounded at Mafeking which would add a few quid onto the price tag.

Possibly issued a QSA (2) DoM OFS from the KVR as G F Preston.

Thank you for this information. I had not recorded the existance of his QSA before.

The information I have on his is a little sketchy:

Not listed as serving with any specific section of the MTG as at 12 October 1900 on the Siege Slip nominal roll. A man named Hugh McCullam worked as a manager in Mafeking c 1899. Hugh McCallum married Agnes Mary Smith in Kimberley, 27 May 1903. He was described a prospector, widower and aged 39. He possibly died 3 July 1919. Described as a barman, Scottish, age 50, married and living in Barkly East.

Can you expand on/correct this information?
