A clasp inscribed "Defence of Ladysmith" will be granted to all troops in Ladysmith between November 3rd, 1899, and February 28th, 1900, both dates inclusive.

Dof L not all that commonly seen here in OZ as a single clasp. My offering is a "Defence of Ladysmith" to "Serjt: C.B. LLOYD. Natal Guides".
Regards
IL.

Ian,

If you are going to have a DoL clasp in your collection, the Natal Guides is one of the more desirable units.

Best wishes

Frank,

The reference to WO100/301 takes me back to NA days and paging through the microfilms. I recall being surprised by the inclusion of the Natal Guides in the FID rolls but pleased to have finally tracked them down.

It would be a lot easier these days!

Best wishes
David
