QSA (1) Defence of Ladysmith (1413 Pte. T. York, K.R.R.C.), good very fine

Provenance: London Stamp Exchange, September 1980.

T. York served with the 2nd Battalion, King's Royal Rifle Corps during the Defence of Ladysmith and died of enteric fever on 18 January 1900.

Edward Birch was born in Devonport, enlisted in Medical Staff Corps while serving with 4th Bn Royal Fusiliers Militia 18/8/94, served overseas in South Africa. Discharged 17/8/06.

Last seen at Spink in 2013.
