"La Guerre du Transvaal / 8 Cartes Postales Satiriques / 1 / Couleurs".

This set seems to have been published as a limited edition, with all cards and wrappers stamped with a number (in this case "1"). This therefore appears to be No. 1 of an edition of c. 100 (the highest number I have seen is 95). There were two editions - one in black & white, the other in colour.

Hi Neville,
I have set number 149. The 8 cards are in B&W.

Thank you Paul

Maybe an edition of 200 then.

Neville

One of a series of postwar postcards in the South African caricature souvenir collection, by Captain Mordaunt Richards.
You only live once, but if you do it right, once is enough.
Best regards,
Dave

Yet another French set, this time with the title "FRUITS DE LA CONFÉRENCE DE LA PAIX / TRANSVAAL – CHINE". Drawings by "Un Lache Anonyme".

REVUE DE FIN D'ANNÉE / par / UN LACHE ANONYME / 2me Série / FRUITS DE LA CONFÉRENCE DE LA PAIX TRANSVAAL - CHINE / 10 CARTES POSTALES.

3. Les <<Hands up>> - Maudits Boers!...
7. A Blagovestchenk.

Here are seven cards from the German toy soldier set, one of which David has already posted. Drawings by "Fritzchen" [Little Fritz].
I have no idea how many cards there were in the original set.

Unfortunately, the hand-written descriptions are very difficult to read.

This card is I think from the same series and was posted from Germany to Harrogate on the same date as five others from the set, identical to the cards shown by Neville. If it has Boer War relevance, it is lost on me!
