QSA (3) CC OFS Tr (Tpr: H. N. Shaw, Lumsden’s Horse)

Hubert Noel Shaw was a planter from Palampur, and served in ‘A’ Company, No. 4 Section, Lumsden’s Horse, in South Africa during the Boer War. Becoming ill, he subsequently transferred to the Corps Depot in Pretoria.

QSA (3) CC OFS Joh (174 Tpr: M. W. Clifford, Lumsden’s Horse)

Maurice William Clifford was employed by the Public Works Department in Lahore, and served in ‘B’ Company, No. 2 Section, Lumsden’s Horse, in South Africa during the Boer War.

Clifford subsequently served a Deputy Conservator of Forests with the Indian Forest Service, in the United Provinces, prior to his retirement in 26 February 1924.
