Mike,

With the apostrophe being so small, I wonder how many other units exhibit this feature?

David.....

I have seen a late issue to a Strathcona and the apostrophe is the correct way around with a Type 3 Reverse.....

There are a few files relating to Lumsden's Horse in the files of the Indian Digital Archives. I am sure a search there will bring up some new information. I just searched "Lumsden" between 1899 & 1902. I have appended a few.
