Hello Brett,
I agree with David, that is a lovely group, the ribbon, is, I feel for certain medals completely wrong unless it is the original silk, the 1914/1914-15 star and allied victory medal are two good examples.
Regards Frank

Thanks to you rather than apologies from you are in order. This is a lovely group.

The silk ribbon on the 1914-15 Star looks amazing too. It is becoming a rare and expensive commodity these days.

Best wishes
David

The list issued by Steve Sewell caught my attention as it included a single clasp Talana to the KRRC.

The QSA was awarded to Col Sgt J Hamilton. He was a survivor of the Warren Hastings and was wounded at Talana, being invalided in April 1900.

David - I spotted this too and was very interested. However, my interest cooled a little when I was unable to find any papers on him. Nevertheless a very nice medal.

David,

A set of papers would certainly have completed the offering but ...

Interestingly, I recorded this medal as being sold by Spink in Jan 1975 for £33.

Best wishes
