Despite the volume of material on offer, most Boer War medals are selling at auction. Good quality material is selling for very strong prices as the recent Spink sale demonstrated. I thought we might have seen a recurrence of their 2019 sale where the volume of material was probably the cause of lower than expected prices in quite a few lots, but no.

MIke - the thing that continues to surprise me with DFC groups is their strong prices (for attributed or named groups). The RAF certainly has a strong and broad following. I was surprised to hear what you said about the price of your set, especially given the accompanying log books which are very sought after. With 20 GVI DFCs to every Boer War DSO, I can only imagine the number of DFCs on the market will increase in the future leading (perhaps) to a decrease in their average price?
