Hmmm. Slim pickings for anything worthwhile ABWwise.
Drawn towards other stuff from different conflicts though, so not all bad news!

Well, the couple that 'took my eye' had also attracted interest elsewhere.
I had a go at two QSA/KSA groups and was beaten on both.
Someone really wanted that Steinaecker's pr.

Hi Jim,

That Steinaeckers pair to Hughes went for crazy money! A couple of years ago there was a similar pair on offer from JB Military Antiques in Australia which were QSA to Kaffrarian Rifles and KSA to Steinaeckers. That went for £445 and seems like a real bargain!

Perhaps because HUghes was an Australian and his life history tells us he met his death going missing while out 'bush' back home lent value to the pair?

As you say, they must have wanted them badly!

Cheers Steve

There were lots of sub £100 QSAs in the auction too.

It is odd that the renamed pair to Boggis sold for £95, more than many correctly named medals.

That Steinaecker's Horse pr definitely went off the planet. There must have been a few of us interested, I ran up the white flag at 600.00UKpounds.
I don't have a Steinaecker's QSA / KSA pr and I thought this was my chance.
