It was interesting to watch the lots go under the hammer at the Spink auction this week.

Lot 1 sold for a hammer price of GBP 300,000 which had been the pre-bid for a number of days. Totals: GBP 386,400. R 8,814,170. AUD 708,590. NZD 760,960. CAD 637,720. USD 472,400. EUR 433,940

Spink (US) have launched their next e-auction which ends 29 Jan and contains a modest showing of Boer War material.

This is the USA one David - the UK edition only goes live from 17h00 tonight. I have a few Lots which I am selling so am keen to see how things progress in the face of a barrage of recent and upcoming medal auctions!
