Munroe

Hello,
Sorry about the previous post, I was having a grey moment. I seem to have a lot these days. Back to my original question now that I have identified the group I was asking about.
Would it be possible for you to give his name, number and corp or div from his SJAB bronze?
Is his QSA SJAB or RAMC?
If you will just bear with me for a moment, I will explain my interest.
Ten years ago my wife bought me a single QSA. It turned out that the medal belonged to an Oldham man who volunteered to go to South Africa with the SJAB Oldham Corps. I got it researched and found that I knew the street where he lived, the work he had done I did as an apprentice, and I had walked the paths he had walked. The name on this medal came to life in a way I had not experienced before. I was hooked!
I have been a medal collector for almost 45 years, and now I specialise in the SJAB Boer War. I apologise if you have heard this story before, I have tried not to waffle.
Wombat.
James. (Tasmania - Next stop Antarctica).

That's a great story, James. What a nice way to enter the sphere of collecting.

Best wishes

Sorry for the delay. Thanks David.

I am still learning to navigate this forum, so at the moment I am watching more than posting.

I have plenty of questions, and lots of pictures (SJAB Oldham) to bore everyone with, once I get the hang of things.

Wombat,
James

James,

I agree with Brett. We have a particularly high boredom threshold when it comes to anything Boer War.

Don't hold back!

Hi
I was fortunate in buying this from the late Paul Fauche some 25 years ago. I have not seen a similar pair since.

On the QSA roll he is noted as "Telegraph Guard"
