And Koos de lay Reys's medals are up for sale. DTD / ABO / Lint / Union medal. Presumably relatives claimed the first three? Can't wait to see the write up ...

The Dec/Jan issue of Medal News received today carries an advert on page 25 to the effect that the City Coins auction 64 catalogue is available. Sadly a visit to the site ( www.citycoins.com/ ) revealed that it has yet to be released.

The closing date has been released. It is 20 Dec 13.

Guys

When I last spoke to Ruth she told me they were working hard to have it out by the end of November, and were looking at around the 16th December as the cut off date for bids?

I will try and give them a call this morning for an update.(Not sure if they work on a Saturday?)

It's out now. The Koos de la Rey group is exceptional.

Hello Brian,
I've just been looking at the catalogue, another good offering for all those interested in the Anglo Boer War and indeed, South Africa too, perhaps Adrian would quite like Lots 17 and 29 for christmas?
Something for almost everyone here I would suggest.
Kind regards Frank Kelley

Hi Frank

Yes, been a little busy having a peep at it! De la Ray group is very pricey, will take the Lotto on my way home :)

Lots to choose from but will have to watch the pennies this time round, just spoiled myself with a QSA/1906 Pair and a few POW groups (a passion of mine)....will post the pair soon.
