Will have to go and buy a lotto ticket tonight and add the de la Rey group to my letter to Santa.....

But...... (the biggest word in the English language)

I am in the same spot as Brian..... No more pennies......

Mike

Yes, been a little busy having a peep at it! De la Ray group is very pricey, will take the Lotto on my way home :)

Lots to choose from but will have to watch the pennies this time round, just spoiled myself with a QSA/1906 Pair and a few POW groups (a passion of mine)....will post the pair soon.

I hope that you find something really nice for your own collection Brian, the agony of choice, oh dear! :woohoo:
Kind regards Frank

Frank

To be honest, I do suspect this auction is a tad on the large side, it ends up great for the collectors but if one has placed their collection with CC in order to make a few rands, you are bound to loose! The same thing happened a few years back when a lot of Delville groups were assigned all at the same time, they went for a song! As for QSA's there is a nice selection. With the exchange rate as it is, yes, I have to agree with you 100% Frank a lot of these medals are going to go abroad.

Mike that outfit suits you ;)

Hello Brian,
I am confident you will find something there, it is a very nice selection of QSA's and ABO's, you need to get together with Adrian and sort his trees out first!
Mike goes with the traditional coca cola look!

Frank,

I need a lot more than a saw. It will take a several men armed with chain saws at least a week to complete!!!

Imagine the noise :woohoo: :woohoo:

Adrian

You know the SA Great War stuff has rocketed over the last few years, I very much like it!

I would really like those CP lots but with 6x 40m high Pine trees in the garden that need cutting and carting I will just have to give them a miss. However, I have my eye on two other more affordable lots which would fit in nicely with my WW1/WW2 collecting areas.

Reckon Mike has a big chain saw, moreover, I bet he knows plenty of loggers too, being in Canada!

Hi All,

Is that the 'Lumberjack' song I can hear in the distance?

Some very interesting material at City Coins. I was going to have a 'go' at a few pieces at DNW but may resist the temptation and save my efforts for City Coins. There are a few TG's & DMT's that I don't have.

Cheers,

Jim
