Spink have opened their next online auction which closes on 31 Jan.

I am no expert on the correct protocols, but it seems to me that lots 190 and 230 are to the same man - would it not be more appropriate for them to be sold together? Or might there be a reason for them being split?

You are definitely correct. The medals have been recorded twice before:

QSA (4); KSA (2) (3598 Pte Rand Rifles) renamed; Natal (1) 1906. City Coins catalogue 35.
QSA (4); Natal (1) 1906 (Tpr Tvl Mtd Rifles). City Coins August 1998

Spink have updated the description of the QSA in lot 190 and included the Natal Medal which is good news.
