Rondebosch.......I can but dream...if only my dad's grandmother had not squandered her 17 Cape Town properties she had purchased with her inheritance, I might have been in with a sniff It was Adrians research at the Cape Archives that uncovered this tale of woe My dad needless to say was in a state of shock when he saw that, sadly he never knew her.

We still have a good life here in the Colony of Natal. Besides, we play far better rugby than those lads in the Cape, which reminds me, I need to drop David Grant a line!!

Gentlemen, there is just one tiny flaw in my grandiose plan, money, in particular, the lack of having enough of it to purchase Groote Schuur, I am sure they would sell to us if the price was right, CJ himself once said he could square the pope if he used the right currency!

Not to worry, we can always make do with one of other many splendid properties dotted around the Cape Peninsula.

We don't want to attract to much attention upon ourselves !!
