Hello Iain,
Welcome to this very diverse thread, it started with a simple Poppy, but, now includes America, International Rugby, Groote Schuur, Zoology and Interior Decor (am thinking "changing rooms" presented by Brett Hendey!)
Where have you been, hope all is well with you and yours.
Regards Frank

I didn't see the match but thought perhaps they played the last post at the end for the Welsh  For Islandwana you realise, ;)

I've been promising myself a visit to the cenotaph in JHB on Rememberence Sunday but couldnt make it again.

Interestingly the JHB cenotaph is a copy of the Whitehall one.

regards, Iain

The most emotional start to a rugby test for me in a long time. The Last Post always gets the eyes a little blurry and a lump in the throat.

And the greatest thing is that the Springbok jerseys have a poppy on the left sleeve....we live in hope!

Well done to the Springbok management.

Brian

Hi Frank,

I've just been extremely busy at work, long hours, quotes at weekends and so little time for pleasure :( But all is well otherwise. Busy is good as there's no saety net in SA.
I did send you a pm on the "other" forum, (the dark side ;) )

But isn't Groote Schuur now a hospital? that was where Christiaan Barnard performed the first heart transplant.

regards, Iain

Actually, the original house could be, now that I think about it; CJR I think, had a hospital built.

I don't think it matters really, when Brian and Mr's C buy it, settle in and restore the zoological gardens, I am very confident that they will be just as generous, as hosts, as Cecil ever was! :)
You would be able to come down and enjoy drinks on the terrace! :woohoo:

Thank you for the invite, that's very kind of you. It's a while since I've been to the fairest Cape, and then it was on business, not too much time for the pleasures of life!
