Lawrence | Samuel Lawrence | | Captain | Died from dysentery April 18th, 1900, in Ladysmith. He was born March 1870, served in the ranks for nearly five years, and obtained a commission in the Scottish Rifles as 2nd Lieutenant February 1895. He was promoted Lieutenant in July 1897, Captain January 1900, and proceeded to South Africa, February 1900.
