BarnettRichard CharlesLieutenantWas killed in action at the battle of Talana Hill, October 2Oth, 1899.  He was the second son of Charles Edward Barnett of Edge Grove, Watford, by his marriage with the Honourable Augusta Rose Benn-Walsh, daughter of John, first Lord Ormathwaite. He was born in December 1875, and educated at Winchester. He joined the King's Royal Rifle Corps in April 1896, and was promoted Lieutenant December 1898. Lieutenant Barnett was buried at Talana.
