Bacon | Arthur Henry | | Captain | He was killed in action at the battle of Colenso, December 15th, 1899. He was a son of Major General E A Bacon, Bombay Staff Corps, was born in 1862, and educated at Wellington, where he was in the Blucher. He joined the Royal Dublin Fusiliers from the Hereford Militia 1883, and was promoted Captain 1892. He had been adjutant of the 4th Battalion Royal Dublin Fusiliers (Dublin City Militia) for a period of five years from September 1892 to 1897.
